Advantages

There are two coal gas outlets for two-stage coal gasifier at lower and top part. It can output coal gas with different thermal value. Compared with single-stage coal gasifier, two-stage coal gasifier holds higher gasification and thermal efficiency.
There is almost no coal coke outlet at the lower stage. There is a little amount of light coke oil, which will not easily cause pipe plug.
Coal gas is with stable thermal value. Taida coal gasifier holds flexible operation range and high automation level. Taida coal gasifier holds long conveying distance.
Taida coal gasifier can apply various types of coal such as non-caking coal, bitumite coal and old lignite. It is characterized by energy-saving and environment friendly. 

Two-stage Coal Gasifier

According to quality of coal gas, coal gasifier can be divided into hot coal gas gasifier and cold coal gas gasifier. According to furnace type, coal gasifier can be classified into single-stage coal gasifier and two-stage coal gasifier. Coal gasifier is widely applied to mechanical engineering, metallurgy, construction material, light industry, chemical industry and other relevant application fields. Core equipment of coal gasification station is coal gasifier (also called coal generator) which applies mixture of air and steam as gasification agent. Under high temperature condition, raw material, coal will carry out oxidation-reduction reaction and produce combustible gas (main ingredients are CO and H2).

Working Principle

  Two-stage coal gasifier is composed of distillation and gasification stage from top to bottom. At first, coal will enter furnace through two pair of coal valves from coal bunker at top. After fully drying and long-time low-temperature distillation, coal will gradually form semi-coke which will enter gasification stage. Baking hot semi-coke will fully react with gasification agent blown from furnace bottom. After passing by reduction layer and oxidation layer, ash formed will be discharged out automatically with the driven of grids.   During the low-temperature distillation process, gas produced from volatilization is called distillation coal gas which makes up the coal gas at the top of two-stage gasifier. This part of coal gas makes up 40% of the total coal gas.      
   Distillation coal gas holds high thermal value (about 6700KJ/nm3) and low temperature (about 120 degrees), also contains large amount of coal tar which is product of low-temperature distillation. Coal tar holds good flow ability. Coal tar can be collected by electrostatic precipitator and used as chemical raw materials and fuels. In gasification stage, after oxidation, gasification and a series of chemical reactions, hot semi-coke will produce another part of coal gas, called gasified coal gas. This part of coal gas constitutes the coal gas at bottom of two-stage gasifier, making up about 60% of total.
